Is it possible to reserve a specific make/model of vehicle?
We will make every effort to supply the reserved model of
vehicle. However, it is impossible for us to guarantee that a
specific model will be provided. If the make/model of vehicle
that you booked is not available then the rental agent will
supply a suitable alternative from the same vehicle group
classification or from a larger group.
What age must I be to rent a car?
The minimum age in most countries is 25 with the maximum age
being generally 70. Hirers must be a minimum of 30 years of age
to hire a vehicle (minivans & luxury cars). Please note
different agents have different age groups when booking, the
site will inform you of these when booking.
If you are over 21 and under 75 please contact
agegroup@citycarrentals.com
with specific request and we will check with the local agent.
What documentation do I need on collection of car?
On collection of your vehicle you need your rental voucher,
which you will have received by email when your reservation was
confirmed. A full valid driver's licence for a minimum of 2
years and a major credit card in the drivers name. An
International driving licence/permit is only acceptable when
supplied with a licence from your permanent residency.
We can not be held responsible for rentals rejected if you do
not present your voucher at rental desk. You must retain all
your rental documents if you have a query regarding your
reservation.
When is a booking confirmed?
A reservation is only confirmed once credit card details have
been supplied and you receive a reservation voucher from Argus.
This voucher must be produced on collection of your vehicle.
How much deposit is required when booking vehicle?
For the majority of booking 20% of the rental is taken, when you
book the vehicle online. However, in some cases depending on
country or availability the full rental amount is taken. If you
want exact details, please contact
deposit@citycarrentals.com with
your collection point and group of vehicle, for exact amount.
Do I need to buy insurance if I have credit card coverage?
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver Insurance) is included in all
rates. If you wish to decline this insurance, please note We
will not deal with foreign policies or credit card companies in
the event of damages to the hired vehicle. Renters will have to
pay for damages on return of vehicle and We will issue them
copies of all paperwork so they may make the claim themselves.
Please note if you wish to decline CDW you need to contact us
direct at declinecdw@citycarrentals.com as some agents will not
accept substitutes for CDW.

is reduced. Please note SDW insurance is not available for some
